FAQ: Windows 10: Unnecessary Notifications

The Action Center panel debuted in Windows 10 is on the taskbar’s right side. This collects the many and various notifications you might amass so you can handle them in one location and through one interface. While it sounds useful, it can become overloaded with pings and notifications if you neglect to handle them.

You shouldn’t ignore these, as they tend to include a handful of very important messages but can also include social media updates. You can, thankfully, separate the notifications and configure the Action Center only to bother you with the most significant messages.

Open Settings and go to notifications & actions. From there, you can access toggle buttons that allow you to tweak every app and the information it presents you with.
